Airsoft Loadout

I finally finished my airsoft loadout! It took a year but it's complete now. All in all I'd say it cost me around $370.00. Half of that being the gun.

My MOLLE light tactical assault vest. I'd have to say that the only downside with this is the fast it only has three mag pouchs. Other than that it's lightweight and very easy to move in. It comes with a pistol mag pouch and since I don't have a pistol I use it to hold my speedloader. It was my brothers idea.

My eyepro. This works much better than a mask for me because it's super breathable. I played a game with a paintball mask and I was hyperventilating. Unfortunately  it doesn't protect my forehead and in my last game I got shot in the center of my forehead first thing.

And there you go. I've already been told I'll need something to protect my neck and my head.

Middle Eastern(?) House

This was a test to see if I had enough tan pieces to build a good looking house. I don't if it's Middle Eastern, African or Pueblo architecture though. Doesn't really matter I guess.

I didn't spend too long on this. Most of the work went into revising that staircase to get around my lack of pieces issue.

I reused that banner piece for a curtain over the door.

The roof looked bare so I added a sort of lean-to.

The staircase. The plan was to make it 4 studs wide. I found I didn't have enough pieces. So I made it 2 studs wide. It was too narrow. So I scraped enough pieces together to get it 3 studs wide. All in all working on that staircase accounted for over half of the total time spent.

Very sparse interior decorating. I have really no idea on what the furniture in a Middle Eastern home looks like.

Midiscale.

This started out as a giant but I decided to just do a midiscale knight instead.

The sword is probably my favourite part. Oh and that cape. I think it adds the perfect finishing touch.

The hefty sword. You can also see the arm here too.

Here you can see his beefy chest and legs.

   His back.

I made a head for when he's not wearing his helmet. This is my favourite picture of him.

I made a troll for him to fight. I was originally going to make it be light tan but I didn't have enough pieces. So I turned to dark tan. Not much better. Even though I have a lot of dark tan it's very repetitive with very little selection.

I tried to make him look fat but still strong. So I gave him a large chest and a big belly.

His head. I tried incorporating the spikes that most people use for tusks but they were too big.

His massive club with extra spike.

They look like two main characters from some TV show.

These didn't make it in. The troll skull was going to go on the trolls back or something but it's too big. The crossbow on the other hand is too small.

My Airsoft Gun.

I purchased this Aisoft gun at an expo for a very good price. I have very few complaints about it, it's tough as nails ( it got dropped off the top bunk in my room by a little brother and the front rail got a little wiggly, an easy fix), accurate, and a good weight, 6.5 pounds.
It's an Ares CQB M-4 S-class. You can also get them in tan. I paid $200 for mine and it came with the battery.

It also comes with this comfy forward hand grip.

I bought a $50 reflex sight for my CQB field. It has four different dots, two different colours and three different light settings.

I bought eight mags for $40. They have a few feeding issues and are pretty heavy since they're made of metal but I couldn't pass up a deal.

Field stripping is pretty easy. You just take out two pins and the upper receiver slides off. I may get into customizing the internals and all that but for right now I'm just happy to play.

Final Battle.

Well, after a couple of days of convincing myself that I had an idea for red team base I decided to let it go. I've got nothing. So here is the epic final battle between two fairly evenly matched forces.
The forces are arrayed in pretty typical fashion. Armor and mechs supporting the troops.  Colonel Walter of the Blues, safe in his control tower, takes a sip of coffee and cracks his knuckles. Colonel Smythers, commander of the Reds, does likewise while settling into the passenger seat of his Hummer.

The two railguns open up. Both shots fall completely too low thanks to Private Smith spilling hot chocolate on the targeting computers.

The two red team hovertanks split up hoping to trap the enemy and allow the infantry to mop up.

The two blue team mechs sprint away from their base and open fire on the leading tank. It futilely returns fire.

First blood! One of the mechs shells hits the tank high up, blowing the turret off.

The mechs then pause, tensely sizing up the field.
I   gnoring the frenzied screams from his commanding officer, Robert "Big Red" Jenkins takes off across the field with his two wingmen.

One of the blue team mechs opens up with one shot from his right arm.

Which results in bits of a wingman being strewn all over.

Deciding that discretion is the better part of valour, Big Red takes off cross country.

Suddenly, without warning, two interceptors screech across the sky and unleash their missiles!

One lands harmlessly in the compound but the other blows the hovertank to smithereens.

The surviving Red team hovertank takes this moment to start advancing, firing while doing so.

A lucky shot hits the left arm of a Blue mech. It explodes off and the pilot bails out.

Meanwhile the infantry of both sides has decided they've been rather useless and get into an intense mid range firefight.

The two railguns meanwhile have cooled off and are lining up for another shot.

Oh no! Big Red's cowardly flight was a ploy. Now in a attempt to regain his honour he's back and he's pounding those trucks hard with his 50.s and 30mils.

Now the tables have turned. With only a mech and four marines left it will take a miracle for Blue to win.

Correction, three marines. Their commander has made the decision to run and fight another day.

The last Blue team mech has gone down. But not before wasting Big Red.

The surviving marines file aboard the dropship. This planet was a bust.

The aftermath. Sure a mess, eh?
