Engineer Mercenary.

So I was messing around with my minifigs and I made a little mercenary engineer. Then I built a couple of sentry guns and then I just kept building gear for him until I had a bunch of little stuff.

His two little sentry's. Simple and they look real good.

His dispenser. The compartment manufactures ammo in belts and clips, then there's a little sentry on the side to protect it and finally on the other side there's a coffee maker to refresh yourself.

He has a couple of different mines. A anti-personnel claymore and some anti-tank mines. I'm especially proud of that claymore.

He also has a variety of equipment to help defend and repair his equipment.

He uses a pistol as his firearm but he also has a walkie-talkie to communicate with his team, a wrench, and a gun with interchangeable heads. A harpoon, a grappling hook and a chainsaw.

From this terminal he can remotely use any of his turrets, monitor the damage they've taken and where they are, and he can also remotely destroy any of them.

And here he is with all of his equipment.

M2 Grease Gun.

I'm a lazybones. That's why I built this. Very simple and easy, plus it's small which means it fits more with my gun building abilities. It's my first actual real life gun and I thought it would be easiest to do a greaser than a Thompson. Lazy, lazy.
As you can see there's no elaborate shaping or anything. Pretty generic.

I turned some wheels inside out and placed them over a smaller wheel for this part.

My elaborate trigger guard.

I would have liked to build a pull out stock.

I had to build a five stud wide top and this is how I stuck it on.

As you can see it's pretty normal sized.

Life Size Bullpup Rifle.

I started out making a P90, got about 2% of the way through and scrapped it. Then I started on a Steyr Aug. It quickly became clear though that it wasn't happening so I just decided to make my own bullpup rifle design. This is the result.
It is a little small for a rifle even after some modifications.

The handgrip is nice though. And sturdy.

Here's the removable mag.

And here is the socket. I put the minifig baseplate in there so there was still something for it to grip while making it easy to pull out.

Since the stock and the rest of the gun were built at different angles it was much more than difficult to get the two together.

This is basically the barrel design for the sci-fi machine pistol I built.

As you can see it lacks size. I'm thinking of trying to build a grease gun next.

Terminator Squad.

This is a squad of heavy Confederation troopers I put together.
First the entire squad in front of their dropship.

Their sergeant, Conner. He's tough and no nonsense as you can tell by that hardened expression and his cybernetic eye. He carries a sawed down shotgun and uses the Mark 1 armor since it has a jetpack and offers greater protection even though it bulky and clunky.

This is AJ, the second in command. He's the squads corporal but he doesn't throw it around. Like the other members of the squad he uses the Mark 2 armor which is lighter but can still stop most small arms fire. It also has a small minigun with a very limited ammo supply. It's more for use as a last ditch weapon. He also carries a semi-automatic combat shotgun.

This is Pernell the squad wise-guy. Always ready to crack a joke no matter where they are, which can get rather tiresome for the rest of the squad. He carries a double barreled assualt rifle.

And then theres Duke. He's the heavy guy, very no-nonsense and able to use anything thrown his        way, in this case a 50. caliber, 1200 rpm. minigun. A formidable force in combat there's no one you'd rather have on your side.

And finally there dropship pilot, Lance. Nothing short of a direct hit from a SAM will stop him from evacing his buddies. He can maneuver his dropship practically anywhere.

Another Test.

This was another test in another building technique that went swimmingly. I love that expression. Anyhow, it's basically a floor that is actually a wall built sideways so it's super smooth.
It's a sort of intel gathering room. That black thing on the back wall is a giant screen.

And my ubiquitous shot of the underside.

Test.

So this basically depicts the scene where a Coalition patrol happened upon a Confederation patrol and they duked it out in a war torn setting. The shell hole (or part of it) and the burnt ground makes for a nice atmosphere.

The sergeant was the only one wounded in the Confederation patrol.

The flamethrower man and the two unfortunate troopers who just got turned into KFC.

And the vulture hoping for some char-broiled human.

I like how this scrawny, burnt tree turned out.

Like the title of my post says this was basically a test in this kind of rockwork. I really like how it turned out.

And the horribly ugly underside.

And this little motorcycle with sidecar. Since it isn't big enough to warrant a complete post.

Infiltration.

I apologize for the pics, it was difficult to photograph this because of the placement of the figs. Anyhow, it depicts an insurrectionist breaking into a Coalition base to steal some intel for the Confederation.
He had to quickly duck behind some crates when he heard the guards coming.

The guards aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer, per the norm.

A little closeup on the inny.

And the dio without any figs.

Spaceship Escort Fighter.

Well I've been in a bit of a building slump lately but I thought I could build a small white spaceship to get back in the swing of things. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while.
And I've been wanting to use that windshield for something as well. Anyhow, you can see it's nice and compact.

It even has working landing gear.

Here's a bit of a better shot.

Those white bionicle parts are the guns. I knew when I started this that I wanted to use them for the guns. And those little grey and trans orange things are the boosters. Hey, in zero gravity you wouldn't need much to propel you forward. That's what the early spaceships had. Tiny little boosters.

The cockpit is quite roomy for my stuff. I was originally going to do the cockpit at the very front of the ship but then decided it would be easier to do it in the middle.

And here's some technical doo-hickeys behind the rear panel.

I'm really pleased with how this came out. I'm using SNOT a lot more in my builds and I'm starting to use two different colors in the same build as well.
